The holiday season can take a toll on your skin. From the non stop eating to the late night partying on new years, our skin does a little freaking out. We are overwhelmed with stress, party planning, shopping for that perfect outfit, etc. Here are some tips on how to keep your skin looking it’s best during the holiday season.

Keep the skin clean and moisturized. Before applying your foundation, moisturize your skin with an oil free moisturize, then you can apply your make up primer if you happen to be using our wonderful skincare makeup jane iredale!. A primer along will not work to moisturize the skin. Properly moisturizing the skin allows a perfect base for your foundation. Before going to bed, always cleanse your skin and remove all traces of makeup. Never ever fall asleep without cleansing your skin. Its worth the effort to put 5 minute in to clean and treat with some type of anti-aging products such as Retin A, or GeneXC by iS Clinical! Your skin will be anti-aging as you sleep!

Exfoliate once a week with a peel or facial. We tend to apply more make up than usual during the holidays to look fabulous. A lot of ladies opt for a 12 hour foundation to keep their make up in place through out the whole night. By exfoliating the skin, you are not only prepping the skin for a smooth foundation application, but you are removing all the dead skin cells and impurities that can lead to breakouts. We suggest Cleansing Complex by iS Clinical which is full of botanical acids which deep cleans your face. We also offer our 10% Glycolic Moisturizing Wash by our private label GlowMD.

Drink lots of water. People are known to drink more alcohol during the holidays than any time of the year. Waking up the next day dehydrated can not only affect your body, but your skin as well. Try to minimize your alcohol intake and drink more than the recommended 8 glasses of water a day.

Last but not least, keep your make up brushes extra clean. We apply more make up during the holidays to get that perfect look and need to take care of our makeup brushes that are also getting a little bit of a workout. Whether it’s a foundation brush, beauty blender, contouring brush, or eye shadow brush, it has to be kept clean. Keep your makeup brushes in excellent shape with jane iredale Botanical Brush Cleanser. This quick-drying brush cleanser uses witch hazel and alcohol to eliminate bacteria and instantly dissolve buildup, oil and grime. Each time you wash your makeup brushes with this cleanser, it will leave your tools clean, soft and fluffy. This formula is also enriched with grapefruit oil and seaweed extracts to condition the bristles as it deep cleans. jane iredale Botanical Brush Cleanser is ideal for cleaning both natural and synthetic brushes on a regular basis.

Dont forget your sunscreen for your daytime parties and everyday!!

Schedule your glamour peel or facial today to look your best for the Holiday season!
